Strawberries

Popularly called "The King of Berries".

Five servings of fresh fruits and vegetables is the daily recommendation but most people don't even come close to that. Adding fresh strawberries to your diet, whether in salads, drinks, or on their own, is a great way to get the daily servings of fruit you need.

They contain a range of nutrients, including a powerful punch of vitamin C, and are also an excellent source of vitamin K and manganese, as well as folic acid, potassium, riboflavin, vitamin B5 and B6, copper, magnesium and, surprisingly, omega-3 fatty acids. Strawberries even clean the tartar from your teeth by gentle rubbing.

Like other berries, strawberries are rich in antioxidants. They protect your cells against free radicals — the elements that damage cells and start cancer. They also slow down the aging process.

It’s an extremely versatile fresh fruit, so it is quite easy to include fresh strawberries in your daily diet.
